Once opened, the site will be open to all Putnam County residents and make it easier than ever to recycle and protect our environment.<\/p>\n<p>More updates will be coming soon, but in the meantime, the current recycling center located across the road from the Hurricane High School tennis courts will be closed &#8212; effective immediately.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, because the woodchipper needs some TLC, it will be taken down for maintenance and repair then moved to the new site. It is currently estimated that that new recycling center will open in June.
